Working on some new art and some new projects. One is an art print and the other is a Valentine’s Day card. Both are available via down pdf file at my etsy shop. Have a great day! I am working on adding some of my designs on mason jars and a jute bag.
This weekend I went to the Natural History Museum and had a great time. The Silk Road exhibit was wonderful. I wish I could have take pictures but photography was not allowed. Then I went to a Hallmark store and found some very cool products featuring typography and here they are.

I found this one at Lowe’s
These are napkins and you really can’t see it but it says I found the vodka it was hiding in the orange juice. LOL. Sorry about the blurry pictures.
I had a blast looking at the the typography art. I feel inspired to add some of my art on some new products. I like to create iphone cases, workbooks, coin purses and an apron. Positive words do make a sweet difference.
I also found some really cute ideas for Valentine’s Day and will be posting those next. I am still working on my to-do project list. This list coming this week.
-have a sweet day
I read this book today and I felt an ache in my heart. You see, as much as I want to consider myself a giver and always trying to think of others I forgot one part of giving. It is an important part and here goes. The tree happily gave and gave to the boy and as he grew, the man. He loved him and never did he say the word “No” He never complained or anything. He gave without reward. He gave without judgment. He gave because of love. Even when he had what seemed to be nothing left to give, he still gave. Every time I dwell on what I want, I miss out on what I do have. I am happy with my life thus far but, wow how different I feel when I feel hopeful and love instead of complain. I love instead of judge.
On the boy side, well he always knew to come back to the tree when he needed something. He wanted things and things and more things. Could he have given back to the tree? Well he would leave for a long time until he needed something. He got so busy with life and forgot to enjoy the beautiful free gifts that are always there. Love is always there. It is we who sometimes forget. For the true gift of love is always with us and is always enough. How about a picnic near the tree? He could have taken his family there, and they could have played and napped there just as he did.
I love this story and every time I read it I learn something new.
My resolution is to be more creative. I know more than ever, that I love art and want to make a living at it. This year I will be writing and crafting more. I will track my art adventure here. My goal is to try new arts, crafts and create some items that will help me find the inspiration to succeed in my typography art business. If you like what you see, maybe it will be for sale at my etsy shop.I saw this awesome show segment on upcycling, and I got inspired to make this out of a cereal box. I ran out of glue so I taped it and will modge podge it later.
-have a sweet day!
